| Votto and Niles to continue their soccer careers in college |
Since having graduated from Lower Merion, seniors Shane Votto and Tyler Niles have committed to
continue thier skills in college. Shane will be attending Elizabethtown College and will be playing for Skip
Roderick's "Blue Jays". Tyler will be attending Hobart and William Smith College and playing for Shawn
Griffin's "Statesmen".
Both Tyler and Shane have big games where they will be playing fellow Lower Merion Alumnin. Tyler and
the Statesmen will be taking on Max Tassano (Class of 2010) and Carnegie Mellon on August 31st at
7:30pm at Carnegie Mellon. Shane and the Blue Jays will be taking on David Rosenfeld (Class of 2011) and
Franklin and Marshall in the "Boot Game" on Sept 12th at 7pm at Elizabethtown. If you can make it to either
game, it is a great way to support multiple alumni at one game.
Tyler and Shane have been working very hard all summer to get ready for their grueling pre-seasons to
start on August 19th. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing great things from them in the
near future.
